Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya obtains VAR rights for PurVIEW ™ –
a product of I.S.M. International Systemap Corp.
The Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya (ICC)—Cartographic Institute of Catalonia— , the mapping agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the government of the region of Catalonia in northeast Spain , has entered into a VAR agreement with I.S.M. International Systemap Corp. to distribute PurVIEW, a stereoscopic visualization and mapping extension for ArcGIS.
“PurVIEW will help our efforts in sharing the enormous aerial imagery resources stored in our warehouses, opening the ability to use them stereoscopically to a large number of our customers who are not specialized in mapping”, said Josep Lluís Colomer Alberich, Technical Deputy Director of ICC. “This partnership will empower our customers with an e asy-to-use tool, enriching the value of the data we deliver”.
After more than 25 years of experience in digital cartography, and operating 2 DMC cameras and a Lidar, the ICC is a solid institution which has transferred technology to other organizations. ICC has focussed its efforts to place on a n innovation and modernity levels either the studies and the cartographic production in Catalonia .
“This agreement with the Cartographic Institute of Catalonia is enlarging our reach into the geospatial market, and it empowers our commitment to expand the use of stereoscopic imagery in geospatial applications” , said Jordi Sendra , Director of ISM.
PurVIEW stereoscopic geodatabase-direct 3D feature digitizing is a powerful extension for ArcGIS, providing fast access and direct exploitation of digital imagery intrinsic in modern thematic applications, from earth sciences to site/facility management.
